Ivano Battiston

Ivano Battiston – a winner of many international competitions, a professor on a class of the accordion in Luigi Kerubini's Conservatory in Florence. He is widely known as a soloist and a chamber performer. He played with the orchestra «Soloists of Moscow» under the conducting of J.Bashmet, the orchestra of Slovenian radio and TV of Ljubljana, the Symphonic orchestra of Turin, The Chamber orchestra Belluno and the Italian string orchestra. Ivano Battiston – a talented composer. His music is performed by himself and many other well-known modern musicians. In 1993 he became a winner of the international Roman competition of comic music. I. Battiston has recorded a set of compact discs, where the most part of them is works of modern composers. His record with a cellist M.Brunello of " Seven words of the Christ » for a cello, an accordion and string S.Gubajdulina has been appreciated as one of five the most significant audio records of XX century. With his constant partner David Bellugi Ivano Battiston hasalso recorded some disks, including programmes which will be presented in Krasnoyarsk.
